Join us at the 2025 OAA Advocacy Day and Legislative Reception on Wednesday, December 3 at the historic Ohio Statehouse.
You are cordially invited to join other Ohio Aviation Association members at the Ohio Statehouse on December 3, 2025 for the OAA Advocacy Day and Legislative Reception.

OAA members are encouraged to call their House and Senate members and schedule meetings between 9-11:30a.m. or 1-5p.m. to discuss issues of importance to the aviation industry and their airport. If you do not know who your House and Senate members are click here. All you need to do is type in your home or work address.
The only formal part of the program is the PAC luncheon and the Legislative Reception.
The Ohio Aviation Association Political Action Committee (OAA PAC) will be hosting a luncheon for donors only and members of the House and Senate. The lunch will take place from 11:30-1p.m. at the Kegler Brown Hill & Ritter law firm located at 65 E. State Street, Suite 1800, Columbus, OH 43215 (directly across State Street from the Ohio Statehouse).
The Legislative Reception is open to all OAA members and will be from 5-7p.m. in the Ohio Statehouse Museum Room. The 2025 OAA Legislator of the Year will be announced during the reception.

AdvocacyHaving a career in the highly regulated field of aviation you know, first-hand, how state and federal laws and regulations can impact your work each and every day. At the state level, OAA and its contracted lobbyists work to promote legislative proposals to improve the business climate for airports and the organizations that serve airports. We also work to oppose legislation that will burden the industry or denigrate airports' services and positive impacts on its communities. The Ohio Aviation Association vigorously advocates important issues year-round. We know you don't always have the time to speak your voice; that is what we are here for! Your membership in OAA will help because legislators listen to what their constituents have to say. More members mean a louder advocacy voice! On Wednesday, December 4, the Ohio Aviation Association held its annual Advocacy Day. OAA members in attendance then had the opportunity to meet several members of the 136th General Assembly leadership for the majority and minority caucuses in both the House and the Senate. A clear message from Lt. Governor Husted and legislators for OAA members was to build relationships with legislators representing each airport and make sure they understand the importance about supporting OAA's public policy agenda. This can be accomplished by inviting your elected officials to visit the airport, airport sponsor or airport authority meeting to discuss these important aviation issues. The OAA is trying to help facility these discussions with the regional airport events each month corresponding with the OAA Board of Director meetings.
